The facility of Camphill type

We have already realized the fact of the actual need for a community life of our autism-handicapped people long ago. We know that our current steps have been inevitable, we know that upon the current building of autistic classes, parent organizations, legislative support of educating autism-handicapped pupils is our next need and obligation building of centres of the Camphill type. We also know that we at the same time must not forget about a further development of education, coordination of common powers, and careful methodical management and advisory for all, who need it.

The facility of Camphill type Drahuškovo: the full-value meaningful life of clients of “Drahuška a my…” Camphill is a basic attribute of existence of this community. Minimizing or cancellation of differences between the client and personnel, balanced life in the community, meaningful and informal work of all in the common life, as big economic and operational independence of the whole Camphill as possible, involvement in all activities, mutual help and self-help of all in the community, elimination of redundant and useless functions in life, elimination of meaningless work…

The co-authors of the project being submitted ,,Camphill Drahuška.. we are building our future”, are people, who are directly involved in a specific work with out current as well as future clients. Therefore, the fate and future of our children, our adults, who are our children is in minds of all of us. Such personal involvement with the most ardent dimension of human solidarity indicates us everything, which we have managed to implement and build so far. We know how extremely much it is, however, we fully realize the huge volume of work in this area, which is still necessary to be performed in Slovakia.
