Our projects

This project ,,Camphill" Drahuškovo … we are building our future” is complex project with transregional and transdepartmental extent within the third sector in the Slovak Republic
"Drahuška a my..." facility provides help to people affected with autism and related disabilities.

We inted to achieve the facility of Camphill type by building the project which is:

  • Transregional – it provides the opportunity and help to the population affected by autism or related disabilities in whole Slovakia
  • Transdepartmental – it represents the care of individuals with autism and other related disabilities in the field of nature and education, health care and social affairs
  • Coordinative – it secures the cooperation and mutual coordination of activities of the other independent organizations within the third sector in Slovak Republic
  • Educational – it enables management of the newly established organization by experienced organization in the field of NGO including practical results
  • Leader – it becomes a model for all future NGOs in the Slovak Republic
  • Ecological – in building Drahuška... Camphill there are ecological materials and technologies preferred as priority
  • Economically autonomous – it shall build Drahuška… Camphill by means of renewable energy sources what means conditions for energy economic independence
  • Biodynamic – project of „Drahuška a my...“ Camphill shall observe the principles of biodynamic economy

Project mission

Background of the project being submitted ,,Camphill Drahuška… we are building our future” referring to relatively sufficient steps in the area of care for autistic population in the area of elementary compulsory education, existence of the “third sector” organization in this area; whether civil associations, parent organizations, or non-profit organizations.
However, steps implemented so far are, in terms of the continuing care for adolescent and adult populations with autism, insufficient.

The existence of such situation adverts to an absolute insufficiency of

  • the provision for specialized care for autistic persons in the Slovak Republic upon a completion of their compulsory school attendance
  • in addition to the legislative declaration, the continuing school attendance is not sufficient in terms of the content
  • there is no possibility of a corresponding stay of autism-handicapped individuals in social service facilities
  • there is no or only negligible possibility of specialized diagnostic and therapeutical stays for parents with an autistic child
  • there is no possibility of practical education and stays in facilities with practical activities helping autistic clients for professionals, students of special pedagogy, and volunteers
  • there is no community housing facility for autistic persons in Slovakia

The project mission „Camphill" Drahuškovo... we are building our future“ is to help, in a principal manner, solve such flagrant insufficiency of assistance to autism-handicapped population, their parents, professionals, volunteers, and organizations.
